In April this year we acquired Hot Topic from Notta Ranch Speckle Parks, Canada. At the time he was 14 months and recently, he has been in collection in Canada. We are very impressed to see him growing well and exhibiting impressive thickness and depth.

Straws are currently available for sale in Canada and our first batch of export straws will arrive in Australia soon. Sired by Spots ‘n Sprouts Bart 110B, from Starbank Theta 42T, Hot Topic will be an integral part of our future program.

We are very much looking forward to seeing him grow out and the progeny he delivers…

BINGO! A super bull for the Australian herd

Yesterdays Scone Speckle Park sale offered up a fantastic opportunity for us to pick up a stand out bull.  Bred by Battalion Speckle Park, 'Stockade' offers the best of bull genetics in a young animal.  At 18 months, his stats look strong with a scrotal circumference of 39cm and EMA of 125. He is just the ticket!

'Stockade' will be an integral part of our breed program and a supreme headliner for our show team.  We are very excited to see what the future holds!

New additions to add to the gene pool : Saskatchewan, Canada

The recent Supreme Sale, in Saskatchewan, Canada netted us a number of outstanding opportunities for new additions to the Hidden Valley herd.

'Leopard' patterned Speckle Park bull, 'Notta Hot Topic' stole the show for us and is our first fully owned bull on Canadian soil.  He will stay in Canada and be the first Hidden Valley bull to show at Canadian Western Agribition 2018.

In addition, in partnership with Greenhaven Speckle Park we acquired four heifers; Notta 15R Janette, Spots N Sprouts Emma 20E and Emma 5E and Ravenworth Lightning Lady 123E.  All heifers offer the best of breed in terms of genetics and bloodlines - structurally sound, maternal characteristics and docile temperament.

Sitting in Canada for now, the girls will be headed to the US shortly to join Notta Kat & Notta Unique.

Another beauty added to the herd : Notta Unique

In partnership with Six Star Speckle Park, we are excited to announce yet another prime acquisition from the Notta Ranch herd.  Based in Canada, Notta Unique will be traveling with the rest of the herd to Texas, USA for showing and participation in the I'm In It 2 Win It youth show series in Needville, Texas.

She brings more superior genetics to our herd and is a stunning representation of the Speckle Park breed.  Part of the Global Elite Speckle Park offering, Notta Unique will also be available for embryo sales.

Agribition, Regina, Canada 2017: Hawkeye was a standout!

IMG_6823.JPG

At just 10 months, Hawkeye turned it on for us in Canada recently.  He took the winning ribbon for Calf Champion and then backed it up by taking Reserve Grand Champion.  Amazing structure and an outstanding representation of the Speckle Park breed.  Big shout out to the team over at Notta Ranch on their prep!  He sure was looking his best.

Now he's off to Denver in January... watch this space.  He has more in store for us, we're sure of that.

With last weeks settlement on the new Kyogle property, Lou & Craig have opened up some great new grazing land for new additions.  We are thrilled to announce, with the new land we have just taken delivery of thirty six F1 and F2 heifers.

These girls will create some great breeding opportunities.
